peeing and pooping all over the house... help!!

so ava just turned 1 and is getting worse and worse as far as accidents. matter of fact, she only goes on our living room hardwood floor. the same general area every single time, about a foot away from the pee pad.
we have 2 dogs... quinn, a maltese is 3.5 and we pee pad trained him while we lived in a co-op. now that we own a home, i bring him out to pee and poop a few times a day, and he is very good about it - but if he has to go in the middle of the night, when we're not home etc he goes on a pee pad.
we got ava, a spaniel mix, when quinn was 2.5 and began pee pad training her as well and she was a very fast learner - probably from having quinn to watch. as time has gone on, she barely ever goes on the pee pad, just my floor each and every time. it's disgusting and i don't know what to do. i've gotten advice on here before as far as her chewing habit, that unless you catch them in the act, disiplining them after the fact won't work, they don't understand. it is a rare event when we catch her in the act... and when we do, i feel like she understands, she just doesn't care. i have also tried disiplining her after the fact, to see if it would make a difference. nope. when she goes outside, either on a walk or in the yard, i make a huge fuss over it and she knows she did good, but still, she'll come back in and do it again on the floor later on. she is caged while we are gone, and never has an accident in there, won't go on our rugs or on the bed... it's just she uses our living room floor as her personal bathroom and i don't know what to do anymore.
can anyone help me?
is there somewhere like boot camp i can send her for 2 weeks and they give her back to me trainedChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I feel so bad!! But the only advice I can give you is to let the dog out every 4-5 hours.. no matter what for a week.. use a crate.. I think the dog has to be trained in there own enviorment when it comes to doing peepee and poo poo.. Every time she goes praise her alot do the poo poo dance and give her a treat! This is what I would try.. HTH..Chat Icon

I am not sure if this will help, but I used these housebreaking bells called Poochie Bells for our dog. You can google them, I found em online. You hang them by the door or on the door knob and take the dog out every hour or so, but first stop at rhe bells, ring them and go out. When the dog goes outside (poops or pees) reward with a treat. In like 2 weeks Brody was ringing the bells himself and has not had an accident since. HTH!
