Penn Commuters... where's a good place to eat?
We're taking the boys to their 1st Knicks game tonight and meeting my sisters @ Penn for dinner beforehand (I don't want to venture out into the streets w/ no stroller ). Is there any place in Penn that's good? Will TGI Fridays be packed at 6:30?
TIA!

There's a place called Kaboodz or something like that in the Amtrack area that's pretty good.

I think a little of everything -- I went there with my sister a couple of times and probably had appetizers and burgers or something like that.
Have fun! I am sure the boys are going to have a blast

Tracks is a nice restaurant. it's just to the left of the huge timetable for the LIRR

There's also a houlihans's in the amtrack area. Also right across from Penn is Cafe 31, some new bbq place I've never been to, stage door deli...

I always thought tracks was more of a bar type place, what kind of food is it?

Kabooz has standard burgers & chicken & stuff. Similar to Houlihans, except smaller & not a chain. I think it can be less crowded than Houlihans.

The bar is great -- it's really long!!! The menu has lots of seafood/raw bar items on it.

They have burgers too. If you're staying in Penn, I think Tracks is better food.
Spinach & scallops are terrific.

the restaurant section is in the back. you have to walk past the long bar. it's hamburgers/chicken/appetizers/etc

Re: Penn Commuters... where's a good place to eat?
Thanks ladies. I think we're better off at Kabooz. My sister said she thinks Houlihan's is "skanky", (her word ) and Tracks is too much of a "bar" for us (the boys will be with us).
