People who ask questions that are none of their business
Grrrr...this annoys me so much! DH is estranged from his immediate family, yet they still try to probe other people for information about us. This results in some very inappropriate questions, that DH feels like he is obligated to answer to some vague extent. I am sick of it!!! I have had people asking about my bank accounts, where we live, where my parents live, and all other sorts of personal BS. I told DH that I don't even care who gets insulted at this point, we are not obligated to answer these types of questions! I don't want to pi$$ people off, but is anyone considering how asking these types of questions is rude and NOTB!!! I am a very private person, and I don't appreciate this at all! Plus, since I know that these questions are just probes from his parents, it annoys me even more. It annoys me that even though these people know our situation, they get manipulated into being little spys for my IL's. I don't know how to handle this, and I don't want to cause arguements.

We are in a similar situation and know what you are talking about. Your DH should just tell the little spys/probes/whatevers that they should stay out of it. Honestly, on their own they should just know to leave well enough alone and not even come to you guys with these questions.

Usually they ask DH about it and he is a little more free w/ info then I am because he trusts people until they screw him over and by that time it's too late. If they would ask me that question, which they wouldn't, they would get a response like that though. That's probably why they don't ask me. My thing is that if we don't trust these people enough to stick up for ourselves, then how can we trust them w/ personal information?

Encourage DH to lie then. Seriously, at least it's a sure way of tracing who's passing on info.
