Re: Pet/Dog Insurance
ASCPC - good services, reasonable rates & portion of your premium goes back into helping animals.

Re: Pet/Dog Insurance
(I'm just going to cut and paste a response to another pet insurance thread a while back):
I have VPI. I got it as soon as I got my puppy. She is 3 and a half and I pay about $35 per month and that includes routine coverage - which they are great about reimbursing!
HOWEVER...I have a yorkie and she tore something like a ligament in her knee and they did NOT cover her $2500 surgery because they said that type of injury is very common for those dogs and therefore kind of like a "pre-existing condition".
So if your type of breed is pre disposed to certain things make sure you find out first if those would even be covered!
Either way its worth it for vaccines and check ups, bloodwork, etc

Re: Pet/Dog Insurance
I use petsurannce ,I dont like vpi b.c they only give you a certain amount of money for certain diagnoses . ex: if you dog gets pneumonia they'll give u approx 800 dollars back meanwhile treating pneumonia can go upwards to 2500-3000 depending on the seriousness. make sure they'll reimburse you for EVERYTHING! not just what they say is enough b/c its not.
