Peter Luger's - questions
We are going for a birthday dinner with a group of friends in a couple of weeks and I was wondering what we can expect to spend (DH and I). We never carry cash but since we are going with a group I want to make sure we have enough with us, lol. I know it will vary because of drinks and what we order, etc...but just an estimate would be great.
Also, what is the 'dress code' for men and women?

Re: Peter Luger's - questions
Bring at least $200 to be safe (it probably won't be that much but better to be safe than sorry!)
I would wear nice jeans or pants and fun/trendy top.
Have fun!!!

ITA! It'll be a lot of fun and it's very pricey... but totally worth it. Nice jeans and nice top is perfect. Remember they don't take cc unless it's their own. Don't forget to ask for the choc coins and shlog

Re: Peter Luger's - questions
Honestly, I would bring more especially if you order bottles of wine.

Re: Peter Luger's - questions
I would say at least 200 depending on the drinking crowd, dessert etc. Also they only take cash

Re: Peter Luger's - questions
We went there last year - they have a limited menu (lots of steak!) We got the steak for two which was $85 I think. We also got a side of spinach and french fries, lets just estimate at $10 each.
We did not order drinks. So I guess it depends on how much you think you will drink - bottles of wine alone could be $100 each KWIM. Plus you have to add tax and tip, so I think I would bring at least $250 with hopes of coming home with some cash.
It was so delish though, def worth it!!
Enjoy!

Re: Peter Luger's - questions
Thanks everyone! We will definitely bring more to be safe, especially since I'm assuming we'll just split the bill and some drink more than others (I'm preggo so I'm cheap )
Can't wait to have a nice night out - it's been forever!

Re: Peter Luger's - questions
It'll really probably depend on how the drinks get split, but I'd say bring at least $100 per person
