nov04libride - Duke didn't bite anyone, it was a case of mistaken identity (that, or a very mean neighbor who purposefully lied about it being Duke purely out of hatred.)
Sadly, a story like this happened to one of my mom's neighbors. They had a sweet rotty who would never hurt a fly. The woman next door hated them and the dog (for no good reason) and made a false complaint to the town about the dog. The town took the dog away and she died in the shelter from an illness brought on by stress. So heartbreaking. 
Yeah it sounded like her other dog bit another dog but then she didn't show in court, didn't build the pen, and then they took both dogs away... It didn't make any mention of her dog that did bite the other dog.
I'm not saying he should die, but to be honest she didn't sound like a responsible owner. She didn't show in court, didn't build the pen, and her two dogs were running loose when the original biting incident occured.
