PG GTG Sunday May 18, 2008 (UPDATE #2 in OP)
OK ladies! The date that the MAJORITY of us picked was Sunday, May 18th.
Please let me know you are coming by either posting here or FMing me. I will post who is coming in this post so we can all see who is coming.
LOCATION AND TIME:
Will be determined based on attendees, but to be fair to all people who plan on attending, odds are that a central location will be chosen so that nobody has to drive too far. In the past, the 110 area has been popular.
Lets FIRST try to get an idea as to who is coming! If you change your mind from yes to maybe or maybe to yes, please let me know so I can keep the list up to date. I am looking forward to seeing you all!!!

I have an idea that I'd like to throw out there - sort of along the lines of a Secret Santa.
What would you ladies think if we each brought a gender-neutral WRAPPED baby gift/toy of a certain dollar amount (let's say $10 or so)?
When we get to the location, I would number each of the toys. When everyone is there, each person would choose a number at random and then receive the toy that matches the number they chose. I just think it might be fun! Sort of like a mini-shower for each other.
(I'll put a * next to your name if you would like to partake in the baby gift exchange!)

Time to start thinking about locations. For those who are definite yes's, please let me know where you are all travelling from so we can be fair and find a mid-point. Thisway, nobody has to travel too far. In the past 110 has been a favorite, but fraknly if I eat at Chili's or Applebees one more time, I will go over the top. I actually like diners personally, you can get whatever you want. But since i live in Western Nassau, I am not overly familiar with the area. I am hoping NOT to do another poll, but will if necessary.

May 18th is slowly approaching. I have full intentions of participating and continuing to organize the GTG (though it doesn't really take much - just making a list and a phone call or two). It will be very therapeutic to me to keep myself busy and surrounded by mommies-to-be.
That being said, we still need to choose a location to meet. Please continue to post and FM suggestions that would be convenient for those traveling from points East as well as West as there are some of us coming from within the city and Western Nassau as well as very far out on the island.
For those of you who know me, you know that once I cross the county line from Nassau into Suffolk, I may as well be in Botswana. As said before, past locations have been in the 110 area or even Smithtown. If there is any type of food that anyone needs to avoid, post it and let us know. I seriously think that after a dozen or so PG women eat Mexican food, we could feasibly cause LI to fall into the Atlantic too many years before its time. JMO. Save the planet ladies - it's for the babies.

Great! I wouldnt want anyone to feel obligated. If you WANT to participate, you can. If not, it would be optional.
