Photoshop Course - what we covered
Just wanted to stick this up there in case any of you were overwhelmed with all of the stuff we covered or were confused with the wireless going down.
Here is my outline:
Photoshop Invitation Concept of Digital Scrapbooking Creating an invitation Choose the size you want Backgrounds (Color, photo, or “scrapbook paper”) Text (size, type, color, layer styles) Add in photos (size photos, add layer styles) Add in elements Custom Shapes (select color to “fade in the background”) Save as *.jpg file for uploading. Workspace Zoom in (Ctrl-) / Zoom out (Ctrl+) File formats – *.psd (Photoshop file), *. jpg (Photo file to upload), *.abr (brushes), *png (elements) Review toolbars Tools & Submenus Move Tool Bar – moving or sizing objects/elements/text Lasso & Magnetic Lasso – cutting pieces of a photo Spot Healing & Healing Brush – fixing photos Clone – fixing photos Eraser Tool – editing photos, creating combo B&W & Color photos Color Shape – using shapes as a cropping tool. Text Options – changes when different Tools are selected (above) History – Approx. 20 last actions are saved Creating snapshots (didn’t cover this one) Layers – most important tool bar Layers Duplicate Layers Hiding Layers Grouping Layers Arranging Layers Shortcuts Bring Layer Forward – Ctrl + ] Bring LayerBackwards – Ctrl + [ Layer Styles Blending options Drop Shadows Bevel Emboss Stroke Inner / Outer Glow Duplicating Layers Creating an invitation Choose the size you want – usually a 5x7, 7x5, resolution 300 Backgrounds (Color, photo, or “scrapbook paper”) Text (size, type, color, layer styles) Add in photos (size photos, add layer styles) Add in elements Custom Shapes (select color to “fade in the background”) Save as *.jpg file for uploading.

Thanks! Question for anyone that can help me, at work I have version 7 (not that I know what that means ). I am looking to create a mailer for one of our products as we have a commercial launching for it. It looks different from what we saw last night. Any idea how I bring up the box that shows the layers I am working with? I can't figure that out

Re: Photoshop Course - what we covered
Go to Windows / Layer to bring it up. You have to have created layers to see them. The first layer will come up as Background & will be locked.
