Re: Pickles..

What's your position Christine? Are you against pickels and DH is for them? Or vice versa???

I don't know the answer, I am just curious to know if you win or not!

I don't know WHEN I let Robbie and NoNo try pickles.. I do remember they were pretty young and the whole REASON was because I wanted to see the faces that would come from trying to eat a sour dill! Chat Icon

OK...I will tell u the "secret"
I gave them when she was teething bc she liked them and I saw no reaction. So honestly, I dont think there is a specific age and I think Olivia can totally have a pickle at almost a yr old.

Re: Pickles..

my dd eats them now. i gave her a pickle chip one night to keep her busy, she liked it. she's 9 months now, and i think she's been knawing on them since 7 months. there's really nothing in them, cucumber, salt, vinegar, maybe a bit of sugar... they just have a strong flavor.

Re: Pickles..

i gave DS his first pickle at 7 or 8 months old... he had a "dishwasher" pickle the ones from the diner. and now he cant get enough, but i dont give them to him often bc of the salt content

1st table food at 6 months. We were out to eat and desperate because DS wouldn't sit still. We let him chew on a pickle. It worked so we let him chew on every time we went out to eat.
