Pinata - yay or nay

Wondering if you think a pinata is something fun to do at a girls bday party?? Do you think 4 and 5 year old girls can break it open using the stick or should I just do a pull string??

The kids love it, I'd do pull string (didn't thing they made the regular ones anymore)

Party city sells a kit with the pole thingy with the pull string so i just didnt know if little girls could hitcit hard enough to break it ??

Yes, they can definitely hit it and get it open. I feel like the pull ones are anti-climatic. They should have to work for it.

All the parties we go to have them but they are pull strings.

We had one at a party this past summer and the kids (of all ages) loved it.

I think a 7 or 8-year-old girl was able to give the final blow to open it.

Some adults also jumped in along the way.

We have had at every party. All kids are able to give it a good wack.

If you do pull string - i now have them all grab a string at the same time and everyone pulls together so they all get a chance.

For my Ds's 5th bday my 4yr old neice went to town on it. She was the first one to put a dent on it.

sometimes the adults will help or have the kids stop and then we rip it open.
