Pink eye or immature tear ducts
Every now and then DS's right eye tears and gets very crusty -esp when he first wakes up. In the past his Ped's said it is due to his immature tear ducts and as he gets older his symptoms will go away. Yesterday at the Dr's office I saw a new Dr and she said he has pink eye????? Wouldnt his eye be red and irritated if he had it? His eye is clear and bright with just some tears and crust in the morning.
If your DC has ever had pink eye can you please let me know their symptoms. I am questioning her diagnosis. TIA

If it's a duct issue, I've heard from friends that their Dr. told them to massage around the inner eye and it will help it go away.

Yes, my Dr. told me the same in the past. It does help. Thanks!

Duct issue...take a warm washcloth and massage the tear duct a few times a day, that should clear it up

my kiddiwinkle had a crusty eye for 12 whole weeks! One day, like magic it went away! I washed it with boiled cooled water everyday, but it just disappeared!!!
