Bathe it with a cotton ball and warm water. Make sure you wash your hands and don't touch your eyes!
Or you could go to the doctor and they could give you drops for your eye.

I think you need the medicated drops for it to go away.
Is your eye all crusty? When I had it my eye would ooze over in about a minute...I'd clean it out, then it got all gooky again. When I woke up in the morning I couldnt even open my eyes they were so crusty.

I have had it multiple times, and you really need a prescription, I think. Warm soaks will give you temporary relief but won't get rid of it (if it's really pink eye- it might be just an irritation.)

Hmmm that might be allergy or an irritation. Did you try Visine?

Re: Pink eye (yes, I did a search first lol)
It looks like there are three different kinds of pink eye link I've had bacterial when I had it.
Bacterial conjunctivitis due to the common pyogenic (pus-producing) bacteria causes marked grittiness/irritation and a stringy, opaque, grey or yellowish mucopurulent discharge (gowl, goop, sleep, or other regional names) that may cause the lids to stick together (matting), especially after sleeping. However discharge is not essential to the diagnosis, contrary to popular belief. Many other bacteria (e.g., Chlamydia, Moraxella) can cause a non-exudative but very persistent conjunctivitis without much redness. The gritty feeling is sometimes localised enough for patients to insist they must have a foreign body in the eye. The more acute pyogenic infections can be painful. Like viral conjunctivitis, it usually affects only one eye but may spread easily to the other eye.

thanks for the link! it sounds like what I have my be an allergic reaction to something (I HOPE!)
If it doesn't get better tomorrow, I'll get some visine.

if you think you might have it, stop wearing contacts and eye makeup! if you are infected you can keep reinfecting yourself with infected makeup/contacts. if you have it they will tell you to throw everything away.

thanks for the help I just rinsed my eyes out with DH's contact lens solution, they feel a little better.

Re: Pink eye (yes, I did a search first lol)
I just had pink eye (went to the dr.) and mine wasn't crusty or itchy. It was just pink. I was given antibiotic eye drops and they worked great. after 24 hours my eye looked 50% better and 100% after 2 days. I put the drops in for 7 days and didn't wear contacts for 5. I also made sure to wash my hands a lot so I wouldn't spread it.
