Pixie vs. Wee Friends in Wantagh
Would love any feedback. I understand enrollment for Sept is soon so I think I'm going to enroll DS just to hold his spot some place. How does this work? If I don't get a spot now for September, is it really difficult to get one down the line in a few months??

Re: Pixie vs. Wee Friends in Wantagh
We were on the fence about sending Kaydyn to school this past Sept. Well in Sept we decided to see if we could enroll her. We called Pixie and they had a spot open in their 2yo class. So she started 3 weeks after everyone else.
She loves it there. She loves the teacher in the 2yo class and loves the aide that's in there too. She asks all the time when she's going back.
They have a playground that they take them on every day as long as it's above 40degrees and isn't snowing or raining.
I haven't had any bad experiences there. Kaydyn really enjoys going. She'll be in the 3yo class next year and we are debating between the 2 day and the 3 day program.

Why did I think you were out in Suffolk? Maybe they'll be in class together next yr. I was looking at the 3 day a.m. program for DS1, and the 2 yr old program for Colin

We did live in Suffolk but my ILs watch the girls during the week so we picked a school by them. They live in Wantagh.

Re: Pixie vs. Wee Friends in Wantagh
My next door neighbor teaches K in Levitown schools and told me that she thinks both schools do a good job getting kids ready for K. She said that she'd put her grandkids in either school and not worry.
We just got an email yesterday that tuition rates at WF are going up Jan 1 so you need to give them a deposit this month to lock in at the lower rate. I don't know what the new rates are going to be since DS will be in K next year.
