Besito is good however, they don't let you linger....especially if it's a weekend.

I found that as well. Honestly I was annoyed with the service the last time we went - they were pushing everything on us: "you must try our Besito cocktail", "you must try this app", "you must have this".
Asta is nice - wine/fondue bar. They have finger sandwiches on the menu too.

Asta is cute, better get there fast, I think it will be gone before you know it, I don't think it is doing well and the rent is unreal.
I just wanted to add that Jonathans is one of my favorites I have had dinner there with a bunch of my girlfriends (about 10 of us), we get there at 7:30 and we stay until 11 and there is no stress about it on part of the staff (especially if you continue to order drinks, you're making them money), just be careful, they sometimes tax your bar bill and they shouldn't, no tax on drinks.

LOVE this place.
Cantebury Ales. Very casual atmosphere and the staff is super friendly, never pushy. It's on the small side, so you may have to wait at the bar (or walk around town for a bit) until the large booth, large round table or a couple of small tables open up (if it's busy). You might be able to call ahead and let them know you're coming with a party of 5-6. We've done that so we could get the large booth, but we're also weekly regulars.
Otherwise I'd suggest Samurai or a hibachi table at Tomo (same owners. If it's a weekend night, you may want to call for reservations.)
Blue Honu is great for large parties, but I don't know what kind of food or how much $$$ you want to spend. They don't take reservations, so you have to wait at the bar until a table is ready, which can be as long as an hour depending on when you go (I would imagine the winter isn't as busy as the summer months.) It's also very loud, so conversation can be a bit difficult.
You might want to check out RockFish as well.

Clubhouse on Jericho or Blue Honu on NY Ave
Another fun place for after dinner is Classy Coffee. The usually have live music on the weekends. They have great desserts and it is a fun atmosphere. We have never been rushed there.

Love CC - they are my favorite breakfast/lunch place!
Canterbury is great for English pub food and some good brew's.
