I was going to suggest this as well. DH's cousins live here and absolutely love it.
I moved to CO from LI and I absolutely love it here (been here almost 10yrs). The weather is not as bad as everyone thinks. It mostly snows in the mountains and the weather is always great. No humidity and 300 days of sunshine. The population here is growing tremendously and it is getting super expensive.
