planned csection at st. charles
I delievered my son via emergency csection last time and after I got out of recovery they wheeled the baby passed my family so they could see him and let them all come right up to see me at 10:00 at night. My question is Im going in on wed. for a planned csection at 7:30 am and was wondering how soon after the family can see the baby and me. I keep telling my mom and grandparents probably not till the 2:00 visiting hours. was just wondering if that is the case. You know how family can be they wont stop hounding about it especially my mom because she held my son when he was about 20 min old in the recovery room and she wants to do the same with the girl. TIA

Re: planned csection at st. charles
I wasn't planned - but I had a c-section at 10:00 they wheeled the baby by my family and they got to see her for a little while then wheeled the baby off. A little while later, they wheeled me past them too and I got to see them for a little while.
My family didn't get to hold Ali until 2:00.
-- I know Stacey just had a planned c-section at St Charles last week, maybe she can shed some light for ya.

Re: planned csection at st. charles
i had a semi scheduled c/s... went to the dr. tues and they scheduled me wed am @9:00... they took the baby right away and dh and family were able to go see her. they let 2 family members at a time come see me while I was in recovery and as soon as i could move my legs (20 min or so) they brought me to my room where our parents were able to see us right away. this was at mercy.
