Planting at the headstone
My Papa passed away May 1st... he was 100 1/2 years old. I still miss him so much.
I have visited the cemetary twice since the funeral and brought flower bouquets but I want to plant something permanent. Something that will come back each year but not get too large or require much care.
My dad planted a mini rose bush. I want to plant something of my own. What did you plant?
I know this isnt a bereavement support request but it is a part of death I suppose.
Thanks.

Re: Planting at the headstone
We planted some flowers / plants at my daughter's grave (wow, I hate saying that word.) We planted some perennials, but of course I can't remember what kind, and some annuals. The annuals we planted are Gerbera Daisies...I wanted to do some annuals so that every year I can plant something new. I think we are also going to put some kind of evergreen shrubs on the sides so that there is always something there.
So sorry for your loss...I hope that you find that planting something helps to heal you a little bit.

We planted a 'Live Forever" plant at my parents' headstone. In the Fall, you have to cut it almost down to the ground. It grows back and blooms in July/August.
