PLASMA or LCD TV?
Which one is best?
What should I be looking for in each?

according to my dh, plasma's stink....LCD is the way to go...I am not sure why though

I liked LCD over Plasma because of glare. The screens on the LCDs don't show glare. That was my major reason.

I think LCD is better than Plasma. We just got a Samsung DLP tv which is awesome. The quality is outstanding. No glare!!!!

We have both and actually like the plasma better. They both have amazing picture, but the plasma in HD is so crisp!!

We chose LCD over plasma because logos can burn in over time with plasmas.

I am a FIRM plasma fan... we have a 50 inch. The quality is superior to LCD by A LOT if you comapre the contrast ratios. Also the "burn in" factor is not an issue as all of the newer tvs have a reverse burn mode on them.
We have had our plasma since october and DH plays video games etc on it all the time and we have never had an issue.
SIL just spent a TON of money on an LCD and I think it looks blurry compared to my TV.
ETA.. we do not have any problems with glare on our tv

Just went out today and bought a Samsung 46" Plasma. We were on the fence with the LCD. The sales guy told us to go with the Plasma. (It was cheaper than the LCD). But, ours is for the basement, so no sun glare. It is alot clearer.

We LOVE our Panasonic Plasma- its gorgeous in HD and in 50 inches we never go to the movies anymore.
