plastic bags

this will probably get moved to pets but i figured i'd start here. i have a cat and i use plastic bags from the grocery store to clean his litter box (once a day, so that's 30 bags a month). i stopped using plastic at the grocery store - so now what do i use to clean his box? i can't flush it... i am so Chat Icon

babie r us or buy buy baby sells packs of biodegradable bags that people use for diapers. They're pretty cheap.

eta- $3.75 for 75 count

What about setting up ONE small pail with a bag, and using it as a poop pail? I don't know where you could keep that, maybe outside as long as it is covered?

We have a poop pail for our dogs poop. It is gross but there is no where else it can go. So we dump all the poo in one big bag over time. It is outside of course, covered and far from the house, in a inconspicuous location. We figure it has to be better than constantly using small bags.
