Platex drop-ins...warming bottle
For those using the drop-ins...how do you warm up the bottle? Do you use the microwave?

Re: Platex drop-ins...warming bottle
We use the drop-ins. What I do is this... I have a tall "beer" mug and fill it up half way with water and heat it up in the microwave for 1 min 30 seconds. I just put the formula in the bottle and stick the whole bottle in the water for only a few seconds at a time and then shake it up and feel the bag until it feels warm. It doesn't take long at all. It works great!

Re: Platex drop-ins...warming bottle
Thanks...I've been doing something similar. I fill a large glass with very hot tap water and let the bottle sit in it for a minute or two. Just to take the chill out of the formula. It seems to work...although a micro would be much quicker, but according to the Playtex instructions...you should micro the drop ins.
I know a lot of people give their DC the bottle straight from the fridge...cold. I may try that and see how it works.
It's so hard to see your baby crying because she has to wait an extra minute or two for a bottle to warm up. But then again, I'm just a new mom whose freaking out about everything.
Thanks!

Re: Platex drop-ins...warming bottle
We've had a small pot on our stovetop for TWO years lol, (yes my son still takes a bottle)... we fill it up with EXTREMELY hot water and sit the bottle in it. Our tap water gets super hot!!
My girlfriend uses a bottle warmer for her son's bottles and she also uses the dropins...
I would not take the chance to microwave it - besides heating unevenly, I think the dropins would melt.

Re: Platex drop-ins...warming bottle
I wouldn't microwave the bottle --- honestly I wouldn't do that with any bottle -- especially the drop ins though. It would make me nervous.
I would put a big cup or mug in the sink, put the bottle in the mug, and run hot water into it for a few minutes. That heated it up just perfectly.
