Platinum ring enlarging? Where to get done?
I hate to admit it but after the babies, I haven't been able to get back to my prepregmancy weight. From what I understand sizing a platinum ring to make it bigger is a hassle. Can any one reccemend a place that they got there's done? I live in SmithTown but willing to travel a little.

Re: Platinum ring enlarging? Where to get done?
I thought I had to get mine re-sized as well because it was fitting a little tight. I brought it to my jeweler and they were able to stretch it a little instead of adding more platinum.
They are very trustworthy and is the only place I will bring my ring to
Here is their info:
Rene Doumeng 80 W Main St, East Islip, NY 11730 (631) 277-2000

Platinum ring enlarging? Where to get done?
I had my engagement ring made bigger when I moved it from my left to right hand after I got married. No big deal. The jeweler who made my ring did it. Took a couple minutes.

Re: Platinum ring enlarging? Where to get done?
I got mine done at Generos (sp) Jewlers in Bellmore. It's a bit far for you but they were great. It's not difficult but a little time consuming as they won't let leave or take your eyes off them doing it.
They cut the band and sodded in a piece of platinum. They do this upstairs, the guy has a little workshop in front. They gave me a seat and I watched his every move. Then they take you downstairs and the buff and clean and shine it up. It's was great. I don't remember how long it took all together maybe 2 hours.
The guy is not there all the time and it forst come first serve I believe. So Call ahead of time and see when hes in and get there before he does haha.
They were super nice in there and they have a camera where they study your ring and find all the marking in the diamond and show you as they do it. Then after all is said and done and you watch the whole thing they put it back under the camera and show you it's the same diamond.
it's not hard to do at all

Re: Platinum ring enlarging? Where to get done?
I just recently had both mine sized up and they are platinum and it was not an issue at all. It did cost me $250 though
