Play dough for an 18 month old
I was going to start introducing her to play dough ....santa was going to buy some....BUT..SHE PUTS EVERYTHING IN HER MOUTH...Hence my earring fiasco currently going on!
So I sould hold off on play dough right?

I would say if she eats everything then yes, hold off. My DD has been playing with play doh since she was about 22 months old but she never put things in her mouth so she did okay with it.

DS has playdough and he is 20 months. When he plays with it I am right there because if I turn my back he puts it in his mouth. Having said that he is slowly learning that not everything can go in his mouth and he hasn't attempted to eat it in a few months.

I was thinking the same thing.
I was actually going to try making some playdough myself and giving it to her since i know if she eats it, it's only water flour and salt for the easy recipe and i figured i could color it with kool-aid.

At 18 months, DS had honestly never picked up any non-food item to put in his mouth (he's a piggie, he knows his food). Then came the playdoh! I might hold off
