Play room vs rent out basement
I have a huge finished basement that has 2 bedroom and eat in kitchen. Originally i was thinking of making this our living space and turn one of the rooms in a play room but now im debating if i should try and rent it out for the extra income. The only thing is we have 2 nice couches and a huge tv down there that cant fit upstairs which is just a one level ranch. What would you do?

Is it a legal two family house? If not, I wouldn't take the risk. Sounds like it's a great setup for a playroom/family room so take advantage!

I agree. Unless I needed the extra income, I would totally extend our living spaces.
