Playmat overkill! Help me choose!
I think I went just a *little* overboard while I was registering yesterday. I chose three different activity mats, all with slightly different features. I like the Boppy for tummy time, the Baby Neptune because it is fun and has a lot on it, and the Fisher Price because it changes from a mat to a tunnel that baby can crawl through. Which one of these would you choose? I'm thinking of eliminating the Fisher Price one.
Boppy:
Baby Neptune:
Fisher Price:
Then, I added this today, just b/c our nursery theme is monkeys and it is sooo cute!
I think I have a baby toy problem...and I've only just begun!

I would go with the baby Neptune one. I have a similar FP rainforest one and DS loved it.

This isn't on your list, but we had this one for DD and she loved it - it was especially great since it has things that crinkle and stick up on the mat, perfect for tummy time.

Re: Playmat overkill! Help me choose!
We have the tunnel one and ds never used it for the tunnel so it only got use as an infant play mat. We also have the monkey one, but a frog and he also never uses that one even though I bring it out ALL the time because it's so soft that I want to sleep on it lol but he wants nothing to do with it

Re: Playmat overkill! Help me choose!
We had something similar to #2. I'd pick that one.
ETA: We had the Tiny Love Gymni that PP posted. DS liked it a lot.

Re: Playmat overkill! Help me choose!
OK, I can speak from experience here because I have all three (or variations on the theme).
My DH bought the 1st one for my unborn 2nd DD for Christmas that year. We almost never used it--and I had another child after her too. You can put a blanket on the floor and toys on the blanket. That's it...no special mat necessary.
I registered for and received the 2nd one (different design though) during my first pregnancy. This is the only one we really "needed." All three kids used it.
The last one was another one of my DH's purchases...as I recall he got it for our first DD as a gift. I don't think we ever used it as a playmat. It is a tunnel now and believe it or not, all three play with it now. In fact, currently two baby dolls are "camping" in it.
I would say the 2nd one is the way to go!

100% agree!
The other kinds really won't be used as much as the one with the hanging toys.

We had this for DD too...she loved it and literally used it until the hanging animals would lay on her face and belly when she would be on the mat! We will be using it again for #2 without a doubt!

We have one similar to #2. The boys loved it. Lots to look at and kick when they get older.
