Playtex drop in bottles...

Just curious if any of you moms used them and what your feelings on them are?
I am a little nervous about the BPA reports and thought this was a more affordable option. TIAChat Icon

Re: Playtex drop in bottles...

I use them for DS. I originally registered for Avent but after the report about the plastic leeching into the bottles I changed my mind. I am a little neurotic when it comes to certain things.

I love them...DS never had a problem with gas and they are EASY to clean. You just throw out the liner!

Re: Playtex drop in bottles...

I have been using them with DS since he was about 1 month old..
He did great on them (He had a lot of gas issues with the Avent bottles) .. and as the previous poster said... they are SO easy to clean!

I love them!

Re: Playtex drop in bottles...

I used them for both kids and they are great!! I buy the soft liners though, not the pre formed drop in type I wouldn't say they are more affordable only because you have to keep buying liners for them.

I like them because I pump directly into them. DS only gets bottles 3 days a week (total of 9 bottles), so the liners don't get too expensive, but if he were exclusively on the bottle it might get expensive. I use the Target brand preformed liners -- they're just like the Playtex and fit perfectly into the bottles, but they're cheaper.

Re: Playtex drop in bottles...

Im new to this type...what is the difference in the type of liners? I should look for the preformed kind? What are the other ones called so I don't get the wrong ones?
Thanks Chat Icon

Re: Playtex drop in bottles...

I am not sure of the difference - I've only seen the ones called Playtex Drop ins and we love them!

Re: Playtex drop in bottles...

They are the only bottles DS will use. I love how easy they are to clean and I think that the latch DS gets on the bottle is the closest to the one he gets when BFing.

Preformed are the same as Drop-ins. The generic brands are cheaper and in my experience just as good.

Pre-formed are already shaped like the bottle so you just put them in the bottle and you are done. The flat ones you have to actually pull over the sides of the bottles. Both work the same, the flat ones are just half the price (or less) of the pre-formed ones.
