Please come in if you have had Lasik eye surgery
I am just starting to look into this....my eye dr said she thought I would be a good candidate. Any experiences you can share--good or bad. Things to look out for when meeting with drs? I am in NJ, so I am not sure I can ask for dr recs. Thanks!

DH had it done around 2 years ago. He loves it. He said it was not painful during, just felt 'odd'. His eyes were sore that night though.
He went to work the next day and drove himself.

Had it 10 years ago. Your eyes continue to age so as long as you go into it knowing that it may not be a forever fix, it is wonderful.
I opted for monovision, where one eye works better for distance and one is great for reading. More and more people are doing this because if you make both eyes perfect for distance, you are likely going to need reading glasses. I do not even though I am 42. We planned it that way but now by distance eye is getting weaker so I may have another LASIK in that eye. I would absolutely use the same doctor I did last time, Dr. Hatsis. He was one of the first true experts in the field and I found out through my work that he's been an expert witness in cases of LASIK malpractice and that he does the corrective surgery if another doctor does botch a LASIK procedure. My husband went to TLC because it was convenient but we both agree that I got more personal attention.
