Anyone have Lasik eye surgery and only have one eye done?

I just had it done yesterday. The doctor recommended only doing one eye for now b/c my other eye is only slight. He says many people do this and the dominant eye will adjust and I won't notice it. He did say it takes a bit to adjust to. Right now it's driving me crazy. Anyone have only one eye done? Can you share your experiences? Thanks.

i didn't have lasik but i used to wear only one contact in my left eye because that's all i needed. it took some getting used to but it does work itself out.

hope it feels better soon!!

My mom and SIL both had that done. They love it. It did take time for them to adjust (I don't remember how long).

I used to work at an eye md's office and they did this a lot.

Re: Anyone have Lasik eye surgery and only have one eye done?

I did this in 2000. I am very happy with it. Many of my friends are at an age where they need reading glasses now but I do not. That is because of the way the eyes adjust to this. The only problem now is that with any LASIK procedure, eyesight will continue to change as it would have with age. Now the eye that I did not have done has gotten worse for distance, plus my LASIK eye is not what it was during the first few years. I am thinking of reversing it now, getting my worse eye done and having "monovision" in reverse of what I used to. I had no trouble adjusting. I wear glasses again now but I do not need them all the time. FM me if you want to discuss this more. I read a lot about it before I did it. Sorry it's been difficult. Everyone is different.
