Please Help - TTC & LEEP Procedure / Also New GYN/OB Needed

Hello Ladies,

DH and I would like to start TTC again, but I would like to find a Dr. closer to me. (preferably female, but I'm not too picky) Chat Icon

I'm looking for a new Dr. b/c my current Dr. is in Lake Success and I now live in Lake Grove. I've been with my Dr. for over 13 years and I hate to have to change, but I know it will be much easier to be affiliated with a hospital nearby.

Also, I had a LEEP procedure done about 12 years ago and my Dr. has told me that I could be high risk. I've read some previous posts about this and feel a little better seeing that there have not been many issues related. If you don't mind, I would love if you could share your experiences.

If at all possible, I'd like to find a Dr. that is good with my type of situation as well.

Thank you VERY much! Chat Icon

i had the LEEP in 2003.

i just got my bfp this cycle with the help of a RE (nothing related to the LEEP).

at the first consult, I asked him if the LEEP would have any impact. He said no, usually it doesnt matter. In some cases it can cause decreased CM, but there are ways u can increase that if that is the case. I wouldn't worry! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Please Help - TTC & LEEP Procedure / Also New GYN/OB Needed

I had a leep back in 2005 and i was told by my doctor then and my doctor now that it should not effect ttc or caring a baby to term. Now I have had two miscarriages but neither was from due to the leep. Both my miscarriages were due to chromosomal abnormalities. I know many women who have had leeps and all have had no problem ttc or caring a baby to term.

I had a LEEP in 2001 and now have a beautiful 21 month old DS! I didn't have one single issue throughout my entire pregnancy. Good luck!

first off I love your avatar Chat Icon

My doctor is Dr. Gustavo San Roman, he is located in Port Jefferson Station on Rte. 347 in Davis Professional Park...I love him. the number is 474-8826.

I too had a LEEP procedure in 2007 and a cone biopsy that same year, Dr. San Roman is well aware of my situation and has a good handle on it, I trust him 100%, but I am currently an infertility patient, so I am sorry I can't answer your question...yet at least.

I am sorry I saw you said female, the doctor above has a female doctor in his practice, her name is Dr. White

Hey! Nice choice in avatar!! Chat Icon

Thank you for responding. I will look into him. I do prefer female, but at this rate I really can't be picky. As long as I'm comfortable with the dr and they know what they're doing, I'll be happy! Chat Icon
Good luck to you and thanks again! Chat Icon

My sister is an OBGYN and her offices are located in Smithtown and Hauppauge. her name is Dr. Jodi Turano. Definitely check her out....Oddly enough some of my coworkers go to her and always say what a great doctor is...i totally believe it.
