Please help! TMI alert

Every morning I wake up and I have gagging and dry-heaving. This morning while I was doing this, I dry-heaved a mouthful of blood! I am paaaaaaaaanicing! Is this because my stomach was empty? This sounds stupid but do you think the baby is ok? I am going to shower, get ready and then call my doc at 8. Anyone up and have any advice or prior experience?

That happened to me too!!! I never really threw up too much of anything... just dry heaving... and I had blood a couple of times.. its just from your throat being raw I believe... when it happened to me, it wasnt a mouthful, but it was noticeable.. and scary.. Hope this helps!

Yeah, when I reread my post, I was thinking, "Gee a mouthful is alot!" It wasn't a mouth full but it was bright red and noticeable! Did you call your obgyn or you gp? I'm not sure who to call.

ETS: Thanks for replying stacey!

Could it be from your sinuses? They are all connected at the back of your throat. Once the heat went on I started to get a ton of bloody noses and once I coughed and blood came out of my mouth. I started using a humidfier and it made it better that very night.

Re: Please help! TMI alert

It only happened a few times! i was lucky enough to not have morning sickness for m ore than like 3 weeks... and even then.. it was barely sickness.. more of food aversions and having to eat every few hours or I would get sick.. if calling would make you feel better.. than go ahead and call! Thats my motto for this pregnancy... and trust me.. the receptionists at the office know me by voice!! HAHA (But, they say I am not the worst!)
