Please Help West Babylon School- South Bay

I'm sure most of you have heard about our school. I am the speech-language pathologist at South Bay and have been there for 13 yrs. I love that school, our students, and our community! We lost everything. They are doing a fundraiser at the local fire dept. I've posted the info below..please if you can help, we would appreciate it.

I'm so sorry to hear..what a loss.

I'm a teacher in a Catholic school & I know our school is gathering supplies to have sent to OLG--I'm sure a number of other schools are doing the same.

Thanks for sharing this info. I am a teacher too and live in West Babylon. My school is gathering books for South Bay, actually my entire district is! People have been asking me though, what kinds of books specifically do you need? Just children's story books? Are there other resources you need help with? Is your school in need of any special services? Someone in my building was asking about that.

Hi All! Thanks for the support!!! It's been tough but we are all pulling together and the generosity from everyone is wonderful. Mamasita- Not sure what you mean by special services..if you mean self contained special ed. students..yes. My building houses all of the elem. self contained students in the district. I actually work with all of them, as I am a speech-lang. pathologist.

If people are looking for ideas for donations, I heard the high school is full of supplies and books. So much has come in the last 3 days. Items of that nature are coming in faster than they can keep up with. They mentioned telling people gift cards for places like Barnes & Noble, Borders, or those Visa gift cards. They mentioned getting those in small increments, then the teachers can start replacing specific items that were lost in the fire. I hope this helps. THANKS AGAIN girls!!!!
