Please help with a OB rec - Three Village Womens Health or Stonybrook OBGYN (with poll)
I need to make my first OB appt and I'm so confused. I'd like a Dr that delivers at Stonybrook and that has flexible hours (which Three Village and Stonybrook obgyn have). What is your experience? How are the wait times? TIA!

Re: Please help with a OB rec - Three Village Womens Health or Stonybrook OBGYN (with poll)
Ive been to stonybrook (technology dr) and to be honest, I did not like the setting... I mean, they have a separate "billing area" where I had to go over to to give insurance info... It felt like a factory... like I was being shuffled around... Way too big of an office for me...
Then I waited 1 1/2 hrs to be seen for a routine exam... I ask at the desk if they somehow missed my name bc girls were coming in after me and leaving before I was even seen... Come to find out the doc had an emergency and was running late and they couldnt pass that info on to me?!?
I now see a doc who delivers at stonybrook and has a much smaller, intimate office... Dr Reavis in Patchogue... Such a nice guy and everyone there including desk staff seems to care about you as an individual KWIM? So glad I switched!
On a side note though, Ive read on here that girls like Three Village so that would prob be the better option from what you posted

I go to Stony Brook Associates (tech drive), but they don't offer night OB hours. I went to the OB that I saw for my DS, and had a two hour wait, left, and asked for a different dr. I now switched to a new dr. in the office who I love, and I'm in and out in 10 mins.

Wait are you asking about StonyBrook OB or StonyBrook Associates? Those are two different offices. I had an appointment with StonyBrook OBGYN Dr. O'Keefe. This place is off of 25A in Setauket. The Stony Brook associates is on Tech Drive.

Stony Brook Assoc. and Stony Brook GYNOB are two different places. The one on Tech Drive is Stony Brook Associates.
I had to go to Stony Brook Assoc. for the NT scan and for the High Risk but my normal practice is Stony Broon GYNOB. I see Dr. O'Keefe, but have also seen Dr. Lockner and Dr. Welichar and all are wonderful. The wait time is always about 5-10 minutes but sometimes I am called before I even sit down. The sono techs are really nice and always go over everything with me. I love this practice and the Dr's.
