Please help..need 1st bday party location suggestions!!!
Ethan's 1st bday is coming up in January. I wanted to do a party for him at either Dave & Buster's or Carosello's in Howard Beach, but we went to get pricing, and it is ridiculously over our budget.
My reasoning for those places is that I wanted the kids to be able to have fun while the adults eat, drink and talk. I will be having about 50 adults (fam & friends) and 15 kids (ranging in ages from 3-13).
So now we are thinking maybe we should just rent a hall and have a party, and maybe hire some outside entertainment for the kids...I don't know..
Can you please suggest places in Queens and/or Nassau...I'm open to anything except places for kids only parties, like Chucky Cheeses lol. K of C, restaurant private rooms, anything. I have no clue where to start now. 
TIA for any suggestions.

We are in the same boat!! DS turns 1 in March and I have no clue!! I've priced out New Hyde Park Inn, Coral House and Singletons. I just really didn't want to spend 40 bucks pp!!
