I spoke with my mom tonight because she had a colonoscopy yesterday. She's had Crohn's Disease for 18 years now, but has been having a lot of other complications and health issues, so they needed to do a colonoscopy to know the extent of them.
It turns out that she has a very large "mass" that the doctor is 95% sure is a tumor. He said it could be scartissue buildup or an inflamation but that it wouldn't be that big so he's almost positive that it's a tumor.
She is meeting with the surgeon on Tuesday and has to have surgery to remove it, at which case they'll do biopsies to see if it is cancerous or not and determine whether or not they'll need to treat her further.
Please keep her in your prayers. She has so many health issues going on and other things that she's needed surgery for for a while now, but because of these infusions she has to treat one aspect of the Crohn's, they've been putting off her surgeries because it lowers her immune system and ability to heal. Please pray that the surgery goes well and that whatever the mass is isn't too bad.
