We had a BBQ out at their weekend house today and my FIL was complaining of a very very bad headache. After several hours of my MIL telling him they should go to the ER they did.
He went to Greenport Hospital and they transferred him right away to Stony Brook after finding bleeding in the base of his skull. On the way to the hospital it got worse. His pressure went through the roof.
He is now at Stony Brook and we found out he had an aneurysm. He is still unstable so they can't do anything. Once they get him under control they will operate.
I am sooo worried for him. If you could please pray that he will be ok.

8:44am Update: No real news yet. Now they aren't sure if it is an aneurysm but there is def blood at the base of his skull. But until they get in there they can't find figure out where it is coming from which is very scary. He is on soo much medicine for pain and seizures, etc. He is in ICU now. During the night they might have had to put a drain in his head but we are waiting on word from my MIL. The waiting is so excrutiating. We slept by the phone last night. It was so scary wondering if the phone would ring

9-4-07 - They did the angiogram and def think it was just a blood clot that burst. The Dr's said that he is lucky to be alive. If he didn't get to the hospital when he did, he would be dead. So scary since it was just a headache that he had.
He gets another cat scan today and if everything is ok, he will go home tomorrow!!!!!! Thank you all so much for your prayers. It is a miracle!!!!
This happened to my SIL's mom over the summer. Tyey found her unconscience and rushed her to the hospital. 6 weeks later she is doing great. I will keep you FIL in my prayers.
