Please post your favorite party dip recipes!
I am going to a family birthday party for my grandfather who turns 90 in two weeks. I am in charge of bringing a bunch of different dips and whatever will be dipped in them.
Can you please post your favorite party dip recipes and also what you use to dip?
Thanks in advance! Lauren

One stick of cream cheese on a platter, pour mild salsa over it and sprinkle a very generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese. Serve with tortillas. YUM!

Re: Please post your favorite party dip recipes!
1 cup mayo 1 cup plain yogurt 4 tbls dill 2 tbls lemon juice
mix well, serve with vegetables
(Sounds really really weird, but we have it with chicken. Cold chunked chicken, dipped in, is sooooo good.)

Re: Please post your favorite party dip recipes!
I love this taco dip
Spread 1 package of cream cheese on a platter, top with 1 jar drained salsa, top with chopped iceberg lettuce, top with chopped tomatoes, chopped red onion and black olives, then top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place a few blobs of sour cream on top and serve with chips.
Baked Clam Dip 1 green pepper chopped 1 onion chopped 2 cans minced clams 3/4 stick of butter 1 cup breadcrumbs 1 lemon 1 tbsp oregano a few dashes of tabasco Shredded Cheddar
In a large skillet add clams and their juice with the juice of the lemon. Simmer for 5 minutes then add oregano, chopped pepper and onion. Simmer until veggies are soft. Remove from heat and add butter and breadcrumbs and a few dashes of tabasco. Place mixture in a pie dish, top with cheddar. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes and serve with crackers.

Re: Please post your favorite party dip recipes!
I make this hot Spinach and Artichoke dip and just throw in some extra cheese and some mozzerella cheese on top of what the recipe calls for to thicken it up a little. YUM!
I serve it with toasted pita wedges and in my MINI crock pot!! ___________________________ 1 10 ounce box of frozen spinach 2 TBSPS of Extra virgin olive oil 1 TBSP of butter 3 chopped garlic cloves 1 small onion, peeled and halved 2 TBSP of flour 1 cup of chicken stock 1 cup of heavy cream (I USED LIGHT CREAM INSTEAD) 1/8 TSPN of Nutmeg (you can probably skip this is you don't have it) 1 14-ounce can of artichoke hearts, drained and chopped 2 handfuls of parmigiano-reggiano Salt and pepper to taste 1 pound cheese tortellini (I used Barilla spinach/cheese tortellini)
Bring a large pot of water to a boil to cook the pasta. Microwave the spinach on high for 6 minutes to defrost.
Heat a deep skillet over med. heat with the EVOO and butter. When the butter melts and is hot, add the garlic. Using a box grater, grate the onion directly into the skillet. Saute the onions and garlic for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the flour into the skillet and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in the stock, then the cream, and bring the sauce to a bubble. Season the sauce with nutmeg and reduce the heat to low.
Place the defrosted spinach in a clean kitchen towel and wring it dry. Seperate it as you add it to the sauce. Stir in the chopped artichokes and a couple handfuls of cheese, then season the spinach-artichoke sauce with salt and pepper.
Salt the boiling water and cook the tortellini according to package directions, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain it well and toss w/ the spinach-artichoke sauce. Serve immediately
