We just went through this with my grandfather. He was depressed because of my father's passing.

Thanks everyone. I saw my dad today....My sister and I will be taking turns tomorrow staying with him because our private nurse is off on sunday....
Its so wierd that he is in the hospital. Time goes so fast....I cannot believe it is a year and a half since my mom passed away.....

Scott, I am so sorry. It is such a scary thing to have a parent in the hospital. I am so sorry about your mother too--I remember how upset you were when she passed away. I can't even imagine.
My dad has been in the hospital for the last two weeks with congestive heart failure, and it's really a roller coaster--one day good news, the next day bad. My dad might be coming home tomorrow, and I will pray that your dad will have the same luck mine did.

Thanks for those words. I hope your dad feels better and lives a long life.
We are looking into Nursing homes with hospice care. We were looking into assisted living places and found the perfect one. It was like a 5 star hotel, but he is no longer able to go to one of the assisted living places, he is past that.
This is such a stressful thing to do.....Why do we have to go through this.......
