Please Pray that I am NOT an early Mom! A Little TMI
So - ran around this morning doing some errands - got car seats installed finally!
Got home, go to bathroom, little bit of blood on pantiliner, and liner and underwear are pretty wet and jeans are damp. Don't think it's mucus plug because besides blood - pad is clear and clean - just wet.
Call doc - go in. Cervix is closed - 1 cm dilated - which is good. BUT, Amniotic fluid is down a lot since two days ago when I had my reg appt. I had posted earlier in the week that my fluid was low last week so she told me to drink a ton of water this week and hope it went back up - which it did - and she was happy.
So - it was down from two days ago, which she doesn't really get. It's not completely gone, so she said water did not fully break, but she thinks I may have ruptured the membranes a bit and some leaked out. She said that often it can seal itself back. She doesn't know for sure that I was leaking fluid though - and it didn't smell sweet to me. She thinks it's also a possibility from a lingering infection - although, as I said discharge was clear. She can't treat it though because she said since I MIGHT be leaking fluid, I can't have anything "up there." She said if it happens again, I need to call her, because she is going to start me on pitocin and have the baby - which I would really rather not do 4 weeks early
So - of course I'm running to bathroom, keep checking pad, which is a little damp, but certainly no gushing - I just feel "drippy." She gave me these strips - remember the acid and base strips in 7th grade science lab? she said I can put on the pad if it's wet and if it's blue it's amniotic fluid and I need to call her and go to hospital.
So, I don't know what to do!!!
So - if you've made it this far, thanks for reading and I'd really like to go a few more weeks!!!

I know you're not ready, but on the up side, at 36 weeks your little one should be perfectly healthy. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you stay pregnant just a little while longer!

Thanks, ladies. I'm just so confused as what to "do" now. As I said, feel a little drippier than usual. She also told me that the strip can turn blue from amniotic fluid or bacterial vaginosis - I would hate to have it turn blue, go to hospital, get induced, and it be remnants from an infection, kwim?
Is it normal to be a lot wetter/drippier towards the end anyway?

She also told me the baby is "sunnyside up" - face up and she would like the baby to turn face down - so she showed me exercises that she wants me to do, but also said that they could bring on labor - damned if I do, damned if I don't!

Baby stay put!!!!
Praying those strips don't turn blue & your fluid increases. If it happens don't panic it will be for the best. Good luck!!!! Don't even think about it baby.
eta: Make sure to relax keep those feet up and resist the urge to do anything. Drink lots of fluids too.

I would test just to be on the safe side. at 36 weeks you'd probably have a very healthy baby.
Hope the LO stays in a little longer
