Please prepare me for DS's bloodwork that needs to be done.
I am so nervous to take him because I know he is going to be hysterical. How bad is it? And how good are the people at Quest?

My DD has been to Quest to give blood many times.... They do a great job - and they are quick.

I had my son's 1yr bloodwork done at Quest in Mineola. My son didn't make a peep and he got a sticker that said "No Tears today!"

Re: Please prepare me for DS's bloodwork that needs to be done.
I took my daughter at her one year appt and wasn't so lucky - the gentleman wasn't experienced, couldn't find her vein and after finally getting one - he didn't take enough blood so we had to go back another day and go through it all over again....
I felt so bad when she cried - and was trying to hold her down - but it was something that needed to be done. The second time i went - i got lucky and the lady was so quick - we were in and out in 5 minutes!
Maybe you can bring a little distraction with you - so he can focus his attention on it...

Re: Please prepare me for DS's bloodwork that needs to be done.
I took my DS #1 when he was 1 to the one in Plainview and it was an awful experience that I never got the nerve to take my kids again till just last week! We went to the one in Massapequa Park and they were awesome. My DS is 4 1/2 now and was great with it. My DD is 2 1/2 and I expected a huge scene of hysteria but I didnt hear a peep (DH took her in), she came out smiling. The woman there was so nice and great with them.
