Please recc your potty seat you put on top of the toilet.
DS has been going in his elmo potty but, now he only wants to use the regular toilet - its obviously not very comfortable for him for me to just hold him on it
I'm wondering if I should get one that we just use at home or are there ones you can use at home and are portable or ones that have the ladder. Please recc yours!

We used one similar to the above, but my friend has the one that is actually part of the actual toilet seat which I really like...My main bathroom toilet is bisque color and the seat doesn't come in that color or I would have opted for that one
ETA- the one we have, has little handles on the side which always made my DS feel secure !

I would love to recommend the Bumbo toilet seat, but our has cracked in half. Until it cracked in half, it was great.

my friends have a toilet seat, where you lift up the one lid and it is small for children, and then if you lift it all up, it is for adults..it is an all in one seat, think they got it at like home depot or lowes prob..it is kinds of cool, you dont have to worry where the potty seat is when you need it

We use a separate potty at home, but I have this one for when we are out...I think its great since it fits in my diaper bag.

We use the one pictured above too - I also saw at BBB one that folds up into a square for travel purposes - We might get that one eventually.

Re: Please recc your potty seat you put on top of the toilet.
Okay so big issue with some of these seats with the built in splash guard...yeah not made for boys. DS pees all off the floor with them.
FInally saw at Target a car movie one with a removable splash guard which is larger than those on the elmo and dora ones we own.
So I would recommend the car movie one I think it was $14

I am with you - I have one similar to the one with Dora that someone posted above and that splash guard just doesn't seem right for a boy. I have to lay toilet paper on his lap when he uses it (luckily he only uses to the seat for poopie so not often -he stands to pee). I only bought it to have in my upstairs bathroom when my son was first training so I don't even use it anymore. Luckily I have two from when my older son was younger and they have a much bigger splash guard (I have one I keep in the car and one I use in my house). The issue with that on is it was removable so sometimes it falls off when you take your kid off the potty. But even with that - - it is so much better. I just searched online and I don't think they make the kind I like better anymore but I saw this one - looks better for a boy but I dont have this exact one but maybe the one the person above mentioned. http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Cars-Soft-Potty-Seat/dp/B0010P5Q7Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1269949215&sr=1-2

We have one by Kohler called Transitions. But Target does make a cheaper version. It's the best thing ever!!
