please recommend a baby gate for the stairs
Our stairs are so annoying - the rug on the stairs goes about 2 inches up on the wall and has wood piece as a border. Any gate we look at has to be nailed in at the bottom which means it can't be flush against the wall on top. Any gates that have pieces that stick out from the gate to be nailed into wall so it doesn't have to be flush? I'll try to post a pic if our stairs tomorrow. Please help-we don't know what to do!!

put a spacer at the top. That is my first reaction without seeing it
