Please recommend a good sippy cup

I probably have about 5 in the house. I only use for water. One of the mom's at daycare told me she's starting to put her son's formula in a sippy to get him used to it so when she transitions to milk he'll be good with it.

Should I do that? First off... if you know my background DS will probably stay on formula longer b/c he doesn't want to eat table food.

Anyway... recommend the best sippy cup please. Sometimes I remove that white piece inside b/c it's easier for Mason.

Thanks!

I wish I could help ya! We have about 8 and he doesn't love any of them. We started him on a sippy about 2 weeks ago just to get him used to it and he does bring it to his mouth, but doesn't seem to kow what to do once he gets it there. Chat Icon We just use water in them for now, easier cleanup than formula until he gets the hang of it. Chat Icon

That's my issue. I keep buying new ones and he doesn't seem to love any of them. Although he knows how to use it now. Just wondering also when I should get the ones without the handles.

How is James doing?

Re: Please recommend a good sippy cup

My DD hated all the sippy's we tried so we went right to the straw cups and she's loved them ever since!! We use the munchkin ones and recently discovered the Disney ones made by Learning Curve that have a very wide straw and we love them :)

I don't know either...I've tried both the spout and the straw kind.

The nuby and munchkin ones with the soft spout and handles worked really well when DS started. So much so I put all his milk in them and we got rid of his bottles at 8 months. Eventually I switched him over to the hard spout ones (Playtex) and then to straw cups because he started to chew through the soft spouts.

it was a lot of trial and error, she ended up liking the munchking ones with the handles, and I did put formula in it, and I must say the transition to milk was beyond easy for us, and I think that helped!

I'm having the same issue. DS hates the ones that he needs to suck on to get a drink, but the ones that just leak he shakes and throws water all over.Chat Icon

That's what DS does. He is soaked from head to toe by the time he gets an ounce of water in his mouth.

I use the born free sippy cup, the only problem is DS likes to shake it up and down and sometimes it leaks....

Now we use these:

They are fabulous and do not leak! They sell them at Target, Walmart, etc...

For water we use these:

we used the same exact playtex ones.. 1st with the handles (it was the only one that she would drink out of) and then we went to the bigger ones. Then we tried the straw playtex cup and she loved it. It's very easy to clean, but it leaked sometimes so now we are using the straw munchkin cups above and she loves them.
