If you have had your breasts augmented...would you mind sharing with me how much it cost? (through FM if youd like)

Also I hear different things...is it safe to breastfeed?

How long until you totally healed (enough to go back to work at least?)

What was the pain like?

TIA Chat Icon

this is something i've thought about on & off for years. but all of these same questions & some anxiety have held me back.

i've also wondered about long term maintenance, how often do you have to have them replaced/redone?

Not true...only if you have an issue and they come with a warrenty

so if I need to get them replaced...I don't pay the whole cost again

Re: Please recommend a plastic surgeon

Dr. Peter Neumann in Great Neck.

516-829-7500.

He did a great breast reduction and scar revision on me and did a reduction on my co-worker.

He does everything. I went to 10 surgeons before picking him. It took me a year to decide on the doctor.

Best decision I ever made.

Then when I had an abnormality a few years ago he assisted the oncologist in getting out the cells and making sure I was opened and closed in the most asthetic way possible.

Aces in my book.

Re: Please recommend a plastic surgeon

DH has a couple of fam members who used Dr. Romanelli - they were so beyond pleased. DH's Aunt who is a Nurse used him and so did her sister -- since she is in the medical field she goes by who her Doctor friends go to and that is Dr. Romanelli. She said he is professional, not sleazy, and is the Chief of Surgery at Huntington Hospital. That's very important. Above all else, he is a BOARD CERTIFIED Plastic Surgeon. DH's Aunt told me this is the most important thing of all. HTH!

Re: Please recommend a plastic surgeon

i also want to add this...

DO YOUR HOMEWORK...

- make sure the MD or DO is a board certified plastic surgeon. ANYONE with an MD or DO can perform plastics procedures (gyn can do breast aug, family practitioner can inject botox) Just make sure that the doctor that you are choosing is trained!!

- make sure that if you are having PS in a "surgery suite" in a doctors office (not hospital) that it is accredited!

- ask to speak with other patients, they should all be able to refer you to previous patients that you can speak with about the procedure

- look at before and afters, make sure the doctor is listening to what YOU want, not what THEY want (referring to implant size etc).

Chat Icon i got a bunch of FMs and I promise I will get to them tonight or this weekend Chat Icon Chat Icon
