Please recommend a pre-owned car dealership
Anyone know what dealerships are running the "if you have a job and make more than x amount every week" specials? My brother is in need of a car asap, and only has $2000 to put down along with his current car as a trade in. I've heard the commericals on the radio for this special, but don't remember the name of the dealership!
Thanks

I would not necessarily go to a dealership because of an advertisement on the radio station.
In fact, these are often the ones IMO to stay far away from.
We got new, but had an excellent experience with Wantagh Mazda.
What I liked about them especially is that we went in, knew the style car we wanted and they let us take it for a test drive w/o the saleman even being involved.
No one was down our throat and said if we were interested in moving forward, to let them know.
So many other dealerships have the opposite approach and then even try to do things like hold your car hostage if you ask for them to price it as a trade in.
The Atlantic dealerships are famous for this crap. They did it when my son was an infant, and we decided to look on a whim one day. DH basically had to threaten the guy physically for us to be able to leave the place with our son and our car.
The dude from Wantagh Mazda just gave my car an eyeball once over and told us what he felt we would get.

Stay away from any dealership with the name Atlantic in front of it. They charge $374.00 extra for a processing fee, they take their time getting you any info so as to have you invest your time in their dealership in order to wear you down as part of their sales ploy. They are very good at the art of bamboozelment and if they think anyone is an easy mark, they take extreme advantage of it.

I would NEVER recommend any of the Atlantic dealerships. TOTAL rip-off!

I completely agree stay FAR away from them!
Check out Massapeuqa Nissan, my friends and family have been using them for years, and have had nothing but a pleasant experience with them. DH and I are actually going there tomorrow.
