Please recommend a yellow paint color (BM colors only)
I would really prefer a yellow that is not so bright and baby nursery looking. It is for the basement. Thanks!!!

we have BM lemon meranguie in a spare bedroom with white moldings. its kinda bright but we've gotten tons of compliments on it!

We have BM "straw" in our living room and hallway. It has more of a golden tone to it.

BM Hawthorne Yellow is a very nice soft yellow
I have a sample of this one, and I actually thought it was a little too bright for such a big area. Pretty color though.

We have BM Barley (more golden) and BM Cornsilk (a Pottery Barn color I believe - nice shade of light yellow).

We used BM Yellow Freeze in Elizabeth's room. It's very pale, almost cream looking.

We have BM Philadelphia Cream in our kitchen, dinette and bathroom. It's a really nice yellow and we've gotten a ton of compliments on it.

I have Philadelphia Creme in my family room and love it! It is nice soft and buttery.
I have Hawthorne Yellow in my Dining Room. It is bright, but still a nice yellow. We will be doing some white wood work in the room which I feel will soften it a little.
I have Lemon Meringue in my DD's Playroom. It is VERY bright and primary looking. It is perfect for the room. I have red shades and a blue rug which is really works with.
I have pics of all in my house album.

I just want to say this thread helped me too-- I have been trying to decide on a yellow for Sasha's room and I think I am going to do the Hawthorne Yellow. It's nice and bright, but muted too-- so it's not "offensive".
I have soooo many yellow paint chips, I didn't know what the hell to do!

I think we used BM Yellow Lab in our bathroom. It's a deep buttery yellow leaning very slightly towards the browns rather than the bright yellows. You can see the color in my album for the upstairs bathroom. I think the other bathroom is BM Good Vibrations, also a buttery yellow shade but a little brighter than the upstairs.

We are going with BM Barley. I must of spent and hour on the Benjamin Moore website looking through all the yellows that you girls posted. We are painting today. I hope it comes out good!!!

I bought so many paint samples when paiting our house. My DH wanted to kill me!! We have a sample of Hawthorne yellow and it will look great in a kids room.
