Please recommend your/a Dermatologist!!
Can someone give me some recommendations for a Dermatologist?
I have been having issue for a while with a really itch scalp and dry patches behind my ears. I just kept putting it off for a while saying it was from stress.
But last week we noticed that I have a nickel-sized bald spot on the top of my head.  We don't know if they are both tied in together, but I think it is time I force myself to go to the doctor.
Also, I should go to the dermatologist, before going to my regular doctor first right?

I love Dr. Onorato in Garden City on New Hyde Park Road. He's wonderful. And his assistants are great also. Good luck!

Island Dermatology is great - they have two locations, Massapequa and Long Beach. No one doctor in particular I know a bunch of people who have used most of them and no complaints.

I go to Advanced Dermatology in Stony Brook and see Dr. Daley. I don't have any specific issues, just get checked every year for skin cancer. I love Dr. Daley! But the wait there is always long.

i see Linda Dodick there and i LOVE her (i see her in the Massapequa location).

I used to go to Dr. Demento. He is awesome, absolutely an amazing doctor, but be prepared to wait. After I waited 2+ hours to see him, I stopped going.

This is who I use - they actually have a location in Lynbrook also
My mother goes to Dr. Demento and has for years!

Ronald Spillane. His office is at Mercy Hospital. Be prepared to wait, though... try to get an early appointment as he backs up as it gets later... Fantastic doctor, though.

Has anyone gone to anyone else in her office?
I called and they said I can't get an appt with her until the end of Jan - the beginning of Feb.
I really don't want to wait that long
