Please recommend your camera
DH wants a good camera for his b-day. Here is what we are looking for:
Digital
Quick shutter speed
Takes really good pics outside AND INSIDE (my Canon takes GREAT pics outside but TERRIBLE pics inside)
If you love your camera - I would love to hear about it!

We just bought a Canon Rebel DSLR for my birthday and I LOVE it! It takes great pictures and has lots of features.

I just upgraded from the Canon S1 IS to the Canon 30D. Loved both - decided to upgrade because I wanted the attributes offered by the SLR camera.
If you want to eliminate shutter lag you need to go with an SLR camera like the 30D or the Rebel.
The S1 IS has been replaced with later versions - I think they are up to an S3 or maybe even S4. If you want a smaller point-and-shoot you can't beat this camera. Awesome zoom with image stabilization. It's not pocket-sized like the Powershot cameras, but it's about half the size of the SLR's.
