I've been going to Tiger Schulmann's karate for about 8 years now. http://www.tsk.com/
They are in the Islandia shopping center, on Vets Hwy, just south of the LIE. DS has been going there for almost 2 years. He started when he was 3. DD will be going there when she turns 3 (possibly earlier, since I've been there so long, and she seems to be turning into quite the adventure-seeker..  )
The programs are great, all of the kids I know there all love the classes. It's a mixed martial arts, so there is a little bit of everything. Kickboxing, grappling on the ground, punching, kicking, etc.

We have used Empire State Karate but they are located in Smithtown.
