please recommend your high risk OB delivering at NSUH or LIJ
I am seriously considering leaving my OB's office, haven't decided 100% yet, but I'm thinking about it, just want to have few names in case I do. Oh and I would like someone who is not in big group practice, maybe a solo or with 1-2 other drs.
Thanks

Re: please recommend your high risk OB delivering at NSUH or LIJ
im sorry, i was going to respond but mine is in a practice with 5 other doctors i believe.
either way, here is her info. i really love her and have been through more obgyns than i care to think about (until now, ive had terrible experiences leaving me in tears all the time)
Also, I travel from Lindenhurst to her- thats how much i like her
Dr. Randi Rothstein(female) 214-10n 24th avenue bayside (right across from Bay Terrace shopping center) (718) 224-5800
her staff is also really great, like no other Ive ever experienced. they are so sweet and human beings (not robots like unfortunately you get at a lot of doctors)
good luck! any questions, just fm me
eta: she is high risk, i havent really spoken to her about her specialty though because i just went to her and then found out, she was high risk. also, she delievers at north shore manhasset

I use Dr. Klein (but again he's in a group practice)...how bout Dr. Kofinas? I don't use him but have heard of other people on these boards mention good things about him...I believe he's high risk in Garden City but not sure where he delivers...maybe Winthrop.

Dr. Klein took over during my pregnancy when I turned high risk at 30 weeks with pre-eclampsia. Hes part of a group though but they are all fantastic

Re: please recommend your high risk OB delivering at NSUH or LIJ
Dr. klein is my OB too, but Ihave not been happy with them / him lately. I din't want to get into details, but something happened last wek and I am having a hard time deciding what to do and how to deal with it, since I'm already in my 23rd week and I hate the thought of finding a new dr and the whole deal. This is the last thing I need, I have been very upset this past 2 days and trying to figu things out ... Lets just say it's a good thing I listened to my body and didn't listen to the dr and nurses telling me for weeks now " it's nothing to worry about"

Re: please recommend your high risk OB delivering at NSUH or LIJ
I was using Dr. Marci Ostroff in Lake Success who is affiliated with LIJ. I decided to switch because her office was like a busy supermarket and totally unprofessional. I found Dr. Klein who is affiliated with North Shore, and I have not one complaint. North Shore is a better hospital than LIJ because they have updated and more equipment. The earlier in your pregnancy you switch, the better and happier you will be. Good Luck!

I Know this is an old post but this is not necessarily true. They just built the new Woman's Hospital in LIJ and its state of the art and AMAZING!
Just an FYI

Just an FYI I had my DD at LIJ before they renovated the whole place and I had a wonderful experience, all the drs and nurses were great. This was in 07
