PLEASE recommend your refrigerator!!!!
Our 3 year old Samsung refrigerator died! It's been a long few weeks, since it started 12/23/11....YEP, Christmas Eve Eve!
Finally Lowe's approved a refund of the unit. Now we need to find a new one.
Should we go french-door, bottom freezer again?
Has to be stainless steel, door water dispenser/ice maker
Any suggestions on manufacturer, model, features?
TIA!!!!!

We have an LG LFX28978 refrigerator; it has french doors and icemaker is built into the door. Both refrigerator and freezer spaces are HUGE. It's stainless steel too.
LOVE IT!!

We just got an LG in November and I am very happy with it. It is a stainless steel french door, but does not have an ice maker in the door. We did not want that feature.

We bought all GE profile. Our fridge is french door with freezer on bottom. And the freezer has two drawers instead of one large one. We will keep the old unit (also a GE profile in white) in the basement for extra storage. It will come in handy for the holidays!!

I bought a counter depth smudge-proof Frigidaire Pro fridge with the ice-maker after hearing good reviews on it. Love that it's smudge-proof so I don't see the fingerprints!

I have a samsung 29 cubic feet french door model with through the door ice and water in stainless.
I love it, lots of space, LED lighting.
I had a Fridgeaire Professional series stainless french door with ice and water in the door. that it took some fight but finally got fridgeaire to take back and issue a credit after 2 months. icemaker iddn't work, water line leaked (fridge portion), compressor when it came on, you couldn't have a conversation in the kitchen it was so loud.
they were replacing the main circuit board and icemaker circuit board, then said that they would have to replace the compressor to make it quieter, but they don't do that for noise. I complained enough up the food chain that got them to take it back and credit me the cost.

We got a Fisher & Paykel. It hasn't actually been installed yet b/c we are in the middle of renovating, so I can't speak to how well it works (though we read good reviews before purchasing). It looks great! It's a top fridge bottom freezer though, I don't think they make a french door, but we had very specific dimensions we had to work with and this fit perfectly.

I'm having the opposite! Ive has my Samsung for 3 years & it's broken. We purchased an extended service plan with Lowe's (worst SERVICE EVER!!!!) but after weeks of it breaking down, they cut us a check & over nighted it. I'm hoping the freon lasts until we get a new unit.

Thank you all for the recs. In the end we bought the Kenmore Elite 31cu ft stainless steel.
I just pray we don't get a lemon again!!!!!
