Allison, is your sister too sick to be able to fly on a plane and at least get to Florida. Maybe your dr could put a call into a hospital down there, being that he knows her situation. I know about the health insurance and all, but this is way more important. Please let us know, and I will continue to pray for both of them

I was born at 4lbs and I am perfectly fine!! (well not according to DH )
All joking aside, I hope they do what is right and take the baby!!

One of my boys had IUGR and was born at 3lbs 10ozs, he is healthy and perfectly normal, well as normal as a crazy 3 year old can be.
If Baby Spencer is 5 lbs already, that is great news! I will keep your sister and baby Spencer in my thoughts. Good Luck!!

Can she insist that they take the baby now? I know she wants him to be a citizen so he has lifetime healthcare but the healthcare she is getting doesn't sound top notch to begin with.
for a safe delivery. I"m so glad your parents are there with her.

Is there a larger hospital in the area where she can get care? I'm so sorry your sister and your family are going through this, clearly these are not skilled medical professionals taking care of her.
